7U Travel Team Tryouts
7U travel team tryouts will take place at the Triplex on Monday April 25th at 5:30pm and again on Wednesday April 27th at 5:30pm (Rookie games will be pushed back so players will not miss first pitch of their rec games). Eligible players must be born between the dates of May 1, 2014 and April 30, 2015. If you wish for your child to try out for a 7U travel team this season, you must register your child using the signup genius link below. Please note that your child must attend 1 tryout date but can attend both. If a player attends both tryouts, their best score will be used when selecting players to form teams.

Below is some additional information to help you decide if our travel program is the right fit for your child:
Player Selection Process: Unlike rec evaluations which occurred in early March, this is a tryout for one of our travel teams. Not every player will be selected to a team. We generally form 2 teams at 7U. Each team will consist of roughly 12 players. Players are divided at 7U into two even teams. We will use three evaluators to score the players. The evaluators for this tryout will be three board members who have no affiliation to this age group. After the second tryout on Wednesday, I will compute the scores and with a small group of board members we will select the players (and head coaches) for this year's 7U teams. An announcement will be made via our website and social media approximately one week after tryouts. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST STILL PARTICIPATE IN OUR SPRING REC PROGRAM TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY FOR ONE OF OUR TRAVEL TEAMS.
Coach Selection Process: The head coach of each team is selected by the board. If you are interested in being a head coach of one of the two teams you must email me directly before the next tryout date and provide me with some basic info about your coaching experience and your baseball experience if any. Coaches are not pre-determined and thus anyone should feel free to email me expressing interest.
Summer Season Information: Once formed, the 7u travel teams will practice, scrimmage other town teams, and ultimately enter multiple Summer weekend tournaments. Most if not all of the tournaments that the 7u teams enter will be local and run roughly from Memorial Weekend through early July. Coaches have the option to continue their Summer season if player/parent interest is strong enough. Coaches will have the ability to pick back up with a short Fall season depending on player/parent interest before the 8u travel team tryouts are held in September/October. From 8u-12u Mt. Laurel travel teams are divided by ability. The District Team at each age group is the A team and the Tournament Team is the B team. Travel Baseball is a time and financial commitment.
