FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring?
It is recommended players wear baseball appropriate attire such as pants, hat and jersey/shirt.
Equipment needed:
- Baseball Glove
- USA Bat
- Batting Helmet
- Water
If you do not have this equipment and need to borrow from Mt Laurel Baseball, please contact us in advance. We will do our best to lend what we have.
How are teams formed?
Teams are formed based on skill level, athletic ability, and potential. We aim to build two competitive teams for each age group.
Unfortunatley, we do not field a third team which may result in players not making a travel baseball team.
Does my player need to play rec baseball?
Yes, it is our league's policy that in order to play travel baseball, each player must participate in 50% or more of potential Spring rec games.
Who determines age requirements?
Mt Laurel Baseball uses Cal Ripken's age chart for each season.
The tryout is set up to give players an age elgible option, but if you have played previously as a grade-based please email Jon Zippel to make the request for change @ mlbpresident@gmail.com.
Does my player need to attend both days?
No, players do not need to participate on both days. We use each player's best score when determining team placement. However, if you are able to attend both days, we highly recommend doing so.
Do I have to live in Mount Laurel
We follow Cal Ripken Baseball's residency requirements.
All players must have their primary residence within Mt Laurel Twp boundaries or attend school within Mt Laurel Twp.
